Newly formed Foundation will receive a portion of Service Desk revenue from Continuum Managed Services that will be donated to non-profits that focus on helping veterans find jobs

WOBURN, MA – Continuum Veterans Foundation, a newly formed Massachusetts corporation that has applied for 501(c)(3) non-profit organization status, announced today that it will provide financial support to local and national non-profit organizations that are focused on helping veterans find jobs. The Foundation has been established by Continuum Managed Services, LLC, a Massachusetts-based IT services company that is directing a portion of its Service Desk revenue, including the newly expanded 24 x 7 Service Desk and After Hours offering announced by the company today, to the Foundation, which is dedicated to “hiring our heroes.” Senators John McCain, John Kerry and Scott Brown have recognized and commended Continuum’s commitment to this important cause in an introductory video on the Foundation’s website: www.hire-our-heroes.org.

“With approximately one million veterans returning from conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, two of the longest wars in our nation’s history, we have an obligation to re-integrate our heroes into society. There is also a tremendous opportunity to tap into a talent pool of well-educated service men and women who are strongly motivated, highly trained and have many technical and professional skills,” said Michael George, president of Continuum Veterans Foundation. “Currently more than 20 percent of Continuum’s Service Desk employees are veterans, and we are fully committed to providing resources to eligible non-profit organizations that focus on providing employment services and opportunities to our nation’s veterans.”

Creating IT Futures Foundation, the charitable arm of CompTIA, is one of the organizations designated by Continuum Veterans Foundation to receive financial support towards training and job placement assistance of under-represented populations, including veterans.

“I applaud the establishment of Continuum Veterans Foundation as they are leading by example in giving back to all the brave young men and women who served our military with distinction,” said Charles Eaton, Executive Director, Creating IT Futures Foundation.

Continuum Managed Services is the primary donor to Continuum Veterans Foundation. The company will direct eight percent (8%) of all new revenue from its Service Desk offerings to the Foundation beginning today.
