Ingram Micro Honored By Gartner & 1to1 Media For Sales Force Effectiveness In The IT Channel

Technology Distributor Receives Award for Helping Reseller Partners Improve Business Performance through MaintenanceNet-Powered Service Sales Initiative

Ingram Micro Inc., the world’s largest wholesale technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain, mobile device lifecycle services and logistics solutions, recently announced it has been named a winner in the sales force effectiveness category of the Gartner & 1to1 Media CRM Excellence Awards. The award was presented at the Gartner Customer 360 Summit in San Diego on May 1.

As part of an elite group of 12 winners across six categories, Ingram Micro was recognized for taking a customer-centric approach to improving business performance for its channel partners throughout North America. A case study highlighting Ingram Micro’s successful efforts to drive stronger sales and profits for the company’s technology resellers in 2012 will be featured on starting May 1, and in the 1to1 Magazine’s Weekly Digest on May 6.

“We’re extremely proud to be recognized by Gartner and We consider this a testament  of our ability to empower our channel partners to do business better and achieve outstanding service sales results in 2012,” says Peter Gambino, executive director, Advanced Technology Division and Cisco Business Unit, Ingram Micro U.S. “Together with MaintenanceNet, our Auto Quote program offers channel partners in the U.S. and Canada access to business intelligence, technology tools and services that are proven to simplify success when it comes to selling and renewing maintenance services contracts.”

The CRM Excellence award recognized Ingram Micro for its implementation of MaintenanceNet’s Service360 Auto Quote service revenue automation solution, which automates the time-consuming administrative tasks of creating and delivering service renewal quotes to customers, ensuring that resellers can quickly close high-value, low-dollar service sales to capture the full revenue potential of the opportunities available across their installed base. The solution offers comprehensive insight into service renewal opportunities and nurtures the renewal cycle, allowing Ingram Micro and its channel partner to quickly take action on highly qualified sales leads.

“The 2013 winners showcase excellence in customer centricity. These 12 customer-focused leaders demonstrate how an enterprise commitment to making improvements to the customer experience and investing in the right technologies, processes, and people can lead to real financial gains,” says Mila D’Antonio, editor-in-chief of 1to1 Media. “1to1 Media honors these companies for their leadership in support of, and innovations geared toward, advancing their organizations to becoming customer centric.”
