Providing managed services can be challenging and full of obstacles, but with good advice from industry insiders, the road can be a bit less bumpy.

Alex Rogers, CEO of CharTec, who shared additional insights  in the BSM magazine article, “3 Lies Break-Fix VARs Tell Themselves About Managed Services,” says that MSPs should not try to go it alone. He explains, “There’s no reason to waste your time and your resources trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to managed services. There are already proven processes in existence that if conducted properly can bring your business into a positive managed service revenue stream with ease.

Rogers recommends, “Spend less time focusing on your technology and more time figuring out how to develop your business as well as your clients.  The key differentiator between an MSP that is successful and one that is never able to fully transition out of break-fix is business training. It’s that simple, really.”
