Many companies' revenues took a hit in 2009, and the first half of 2010 is only a slight improvement. For storage VARs, talking with clients about investing in infrastructure was not easy. Most end users felt it was easier to postpone IT investments than justify a new project. But, some VARs, such as Arkay Engineering Sales, Inc., found a way to be successful during this slow period. Arkay offers solutions for data storage, management, and protection challenges. Arkay grew 25% in 2009 and is on track for double-digit growth in 2010. One client Arkay has developed a strong relationship with is the University of Michigan School of Medicine (UMICH).
