As a reseller, you have the unique opportunity to help clients identify opportunities to collect data and implement strategies to increase both your and your client’s revenue.
Sometimes it is easy to spot data. Common places a business owner would think to look are:
- where it is stored on a point of sale system
- social media accounts
- a website
- credit card transactions
But a great deal of data is all to often overlooked because it is not yet available in a digital form. Businesses have the opportunity to collect beneficial data through hundreds of customer interactions customers every day — such as each conversation between the hostess and diner who is sharing information from his name to where he lives. This data could be used in many ways to improve the customer’s experience but remains a missed opportunity.
