Flexible, High-Performing Hybrid IT Strategy: The Latest Trends in Digital Modernization

Source: Panduit

According to a recent survey of Enterprise IT managers, commissioned by Panduit and conducted by Clear Seas Research; nearly 60% of Enterprise IT organizations are adopting Hybrid IT as their primary IT strategy. This represents a significant shift as cloud-first had been the preferred approach just a few years ago. Cloud computing was thought to be the solution to all the major IT challenges organizations faced across a myriad of verticals and industries. Following nearly a decade of experience with this full cloud model, many organizations began balancing workloads across cloud, colo, on-prem and edge environments during a big push around infrastructure and digital reparation. With the realization that not every application is best served by public cloud services, organizations are adopting a “hybrid” approach to strike a balance across these environments to optimize application performance, operational overhead and enhance user experiences.

Hybrid IT has brought supportive solutions to digitally modernize business needs. Companies can bring in powerful resources from on-prem, colocation and cloud services. Hybrid IT supports a customizable mix of solutions, including but not limited to, data centers, SaaS, PaaS, branch offices and edge computing.
