Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s (ELFA) Monthly Leasing and Finance Index reports that the overall new business volume for May was $6.9 billion, down 8 percent from new business volume in May 2013. The survey includes economic activity from 25 companies representing a cross section of the $827 billion equipment finance sector.

M2M Potentially Enhances Overall Customer Experience In Field Service

Business2Community said the increased integration of machine-to-machine technology is providing excellent opportunities for field service to offer new services and increase revenue, while enhancing the overall quality of the customer experience. M2M allows collection of all data 24/7, minimizes problems, and also allows service companies to control energy costs by monitoring and adjusting consumption.

PYMNTS reports that “grey fleets” or employees using their own vehicles, are on the decline.  Largely due to risk management issues, fewer organizations are relying on the grey fleet idea, as fleet managers are providing more drivers with vehicles on an as-needed basis.
