Enterprise Mobility Exchange's 10 Commandments

By Ally Kutz, contributing writer

In advance of its event slated for Nov. 16 to 18 at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Enterprise Mobility Exchange released its “10 Commandments of Enterprise Mobility.”

The “commandments” are from leading influencers in enterprise IT and mobility including Rob Tiffany, global technology lead for IoT and enterprise mobility at Microsoft; Tyler Shields, mobile and application security market analyst for Forrester; and David Krebs, executive VP for VDC Research.

Their advice to businesses includes using the right strategy, taking user needs into account, and to prepare for digital transformation.  Krebs said, “A critical challenge and issue for organizations is managing the demand for modernizing legacy systems. We’re at a significant transformation with organizations. However, this doesn’t happen overnight, and there is obviously significant investment in legacy applications that can’t be scrapped, and that needs to be taken into consideration.”

Enterprise Mobility Exchange urges businesses to consider this now. With the global market for enterprise mobility set to grow as much as $11.2 billion by 2020, businesses that don’t act now could fall behind competitors.
