Encad, Inc. Names Kodak Service & Support New On-Site Service Provider For Wide-Format Printer Customers

ROCHESTER, N.Y., January 28, 2003- Encad, Inc., a Kodak company, has named Kodak Service & Support its exclusive on-site service provider for Encad customers in the U.S. and Canada. The scope of the agreement enables Kodak Service & Support to provide on-site maintenance support for all Encad wide-format inkjet printers, including the NovaJet Series and CADJET Series to more than 40,000 customers in the US and Canada in the Graphic Arts, Indoor/Outdoor and Computer Aided Design (CAD) markets.

"This agreement demonstrates our commitment to providing unparalleled service and support to our customers. By utilizing Kodak's 600-member service organization, we can provide outstanding responsiveness combined with technical excellence", said Brad Kruchten, president, Encad. "Within the first three months of the program, we are already receiving customer satisfaction ratings of greater than 95 percent."

The term of the agreement is five years and Kodak will utilize its team of more than 600 field engineers to support Encad customers providing both break/fix as well as preventive maintenance services on their equipment.
