ECM Software: Datacap "Cycle Faster B2B 2007" Benefit Program Launched At AIIM
Datacap Inc., the leading provider of flexible capture and forms processing software solutions, used the AIIM Expo to underscore its mission of helping organizations "cycle faster."
Datacap debuted Taskmaster 7, a major upgrade of its award-winning capture software that "cycles" document processes faster and more efficiently. Datacap also kicked-off "Cycle Faster B2B 2007," its annual benefit program to raise funds for good causes, including the Lance Armstrong Foundation, the Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Boston, and others.
Cycle Faster Includes Broad ECM Industry Participation
The model of the Cycle Faster program mimics that of the Enterprise Content Management - or ECM - industry. In ECM, end user solutions are dependent upon the integration of components from multiple vendors. Similarly, in Cycle Faster, many industry vendors have come together for a greater cause. The name "Cycle Faster" highlights one of the key benefits provided by ECM and capture solutions: to make the cycle of document capture and processing, storage and retrieval faster, more efficient and more effective.
Cycle Faster 2007 B2B sponsors include Fujitsu, Bowe Bell & Howell, Visioneer, EMC Captiva, Panasonic, Oce, Kodak, Kofax, Canon, ABBYY, DocuWare, AIIM, Parascript, Captaris, Content Analyst, Filebound and Snowbound Software.
The start of Datacap's Cycle Faster B2B 2007 benefit program coincided with the beginning of the cycling season at April's AIIM Expo in Boston and will complete its course at October's ARMA Expo in Baltimore. Datacap developed Cycle Faster to bring the ECM industry together to raise awareness and funds for good causes. This year's program, which is off to a great start, is set to become the most successful yet.
"This program, and others like it, is a model for corporate and individual cooperation and important to the success of raising funds for cancer research and support," said Lance Armstrong, cancer survivor and Chairman / Founder of the LAF. "We appreciate what Datacap and its industry partners are doing for the Foundation."
Quick Start at AIIM 2007
Cycle Faster B2B 2007 riders raced at AIIM on a one-mile virtual course on a cycling Computrainer, provided by International Bicycle Centers of Boston. www.internationalbike.com/.
AIIM President John Mancini maintained a positive attitude while competing, even during the grueling uphill climb at the end of his course. "That's not an easy ride," he exclaimed, while posting a very respectable time.
Riders battled for top spot on the leader board right up until the close of the AIIM Expo. In addition to personal bragging rights, riders were competing for the honor of having charitable donations made in the name of their companies.
Winners of the AIIM Time Trials include:
- Sabrina Stratford, Captaris - Fastest Female Individual Rider
- Alexander Goerke, Kofax - Fastest Individual Male Rider
- Fujitsu Image Products of America - Best Team Average
- Visioneer - Best Team Participation
Donations will be made to both the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the Horace Mann School for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing on behalf of Kofax and Captaris.
"We extend our gratitude to this year's riders, who helped to kick the contest off and helped us raise much-needed funds," said Scott Blau, Datacap CEO.
