Eaton Power Protection Solutions Fully Integrate With Remote Monitoring And Management Platform From N-able Technologies

Collaboration provides managed service providers with greater options and more robust solutions

Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation recently announced its collaboration with N-able Technologies, a global leader in remote network and systems management (NSM) software, to bring managed service providers (MSPs) real-time monitoring of Eaton's award-winning and highly efficient uninterruptible power systems (UPSs).

"Protecting information technology (IT) assets is the core of our business and we're exceptionally pleased to collaborate with N-able and bring comprehensive and reliable solutions to managed service providers," said Ramesh Menon, director of global channel marketing, Eaton's Electrical Sector. "Eaton's family of power protection products goes hand-in-hand with N-able's N-central monitoring and management software, hopefully leading to our mutual partners' success and expanding their service capabilities as MSPs."

As part of the integration, N-able's partners are now able to monitor and manage their Eaton UPSs, including key metrics such as remaining battery runtime, battery charge level, battery overload notifications, and date the battery was last replaced, as well as input line errors and ambient temperature and humidity.

With more and more data being transmitted virtually, it is important to ensure that nothing interrupts IT networks. Power quality is a critical component of any reliable solution and provides an opportunity for managed services providers to improve profitability and long-term relationships with their customers. Eaton's full line of UPSs is designed to protect IT assets from costly and damaging power problems.

"Having the capability to easily monitor and manage the power and cooling solutions within a client's network remotely is a tremendous value for our MSP partners," said Chris Reid, product analyst, N-able Technologies. "Power and cooling represent lifelines for IT networks, and giving N-central users the insight into how those components of the network are performing is something we're very excited to bring to market."
