Datalogic PowerScan 9500 2D Imager Family Welcomes Its New Addition PowerScan PM9500 2D Imager

Now Aim, Trigger, Decode with Ease, Versatility and Mobility

Datalogic, a world leader in automatic data capture and imaging technologies, is proud to announce the addition of the PowerScan PM9500 2D imager to the PowerScan family. Like every product in the PowerScan line, the new PM9500 imager is versatile, easy to use, and is designed for industrial applications.

The PM9500 includes the latest generation of the Datalogic STAR2.0 Cordless System for narrow band radio communications, offering a longer range and more robust alternative to Bluetooth wireless technology. The Datalogic STAR2.0 Cordless System technology provides high speed wireless mobility with 433MHz and 910 MHz radio communications. It offers scalable solutions from simple point-to-point applications, to networking capabilities combined with seamless roaming two way communication in complex installations.

“The PowerScan 9500 series continues to grow and be successful,” comments Giulio Berzuini, General Manager & VP, HandHeld Scanners, Datalogic ADC. “With the addition of the PowerScan PM9500 2D imager, Datalogic offers wireless scanning with enhanced productivity when greater mobility is necessary. This scanner offers best-in-class reading capabilities through high speed imaging 2D optics and has great depth of field.”

This omnidirectional reader has an extensive list of features including:

  • Outstanding optical characteristics reading any kind of 1D and 2D bar code, regardless of orientation from contact to 1.0m/3.3ft.
  • Versatile Autofocus optics allows the imager to adapt the focus at different distances and resolution
  • Lithium-ion battery that easily replaces in 3 seconds
  • Point-to-point and multi-point transmissions
  • Datalogic patented ‘Green Spot’ technology and the 3GL (3 green lights) feature for visual good-read feedback.

The PowerScan 9500 family guarantees user comfort through ergonomic designs that include a well-balanced weight, comfortable handle shape, and intuitive aiming system for a high first pass read rate. The soft-pulsed white illumination light is very gentle on the eyes offering comfort to operators in scan intensive settings.

Datalogic PowerScan imagers are built to last offering IP65/IP64 (with display) rating and drop specs of 2.0 m/6.6 ft guaranteeing reliable, long term operation. Usage in the toughest environmental conditions does not impact their performance or reliability assuring a high return on investment. This reader has multiple interfaces making it suitable for a variety of applications including warehouse and logistics centers, manufacturing and entertainment venues.
