Healthcare IT Experts Headline Smart VAR Summit
Healthcare IT experts will present at the Smart VAR Healthcare Summit, powered by ScanSource and Business Solutions, on May 6 in New Brunswick, NJ. The keynote speaker will be healthcare IT consultant Shahid Shah, and the afternoon general session panel will feature end users from a variety of roles in the healthcare industry. Business Solutions magazine editor-in-chief Mike Monocello and Health IT Outcomes editor-in-chief Ken Congdon will also present. The summit will feature the latest trends in the healthcare vertical, secrets from successful healthcare VARs, and VAR opportunities in healthcare.
BlueStar Expands Product Line
BlueStar recently announced the availability of three new products in its line. The distributor now carries Unitech’s SRD650 mobile computer. It is preinstalled with bar code comparison, memory scanner, asset tracker, and inventory manager, as well as access to the Kalipso Application Generator. BlueStar also announces Posiflex’s XT Series of touch screens. The 15-inch terminals have a foldable base, and the XT4015 has a choice of three processor options, up to 16 GB of RAM, and optional RAID 1 disk mirroring. The distributor also now carries the HP MX10 solution, a package that combines the HP ElitePad Mobile POS solution with the HP Retail Expansion Dock.
SATO Adds New Thermal Printer Series
SATO now offers the CL4NX series of industrial thermal bar code printers. This series supports both new and legacy printing applications. Features include a 3.5-inch, full-color display and built-in video tutorials with 30 user-selectable languages. It uses both wound-in or wound-out media, prints on a variety of stock types, and includes SATO’s Label Tension Damper System that enables the use of large label rolls. These printers also feature tool-free print heads and platens replacement.
