Building upon the two companies’ European strategic partnership, the U.S. expansion will deliver the latest EMV technology to the self-service sector in addition to already deployed retail and restaurant point of sale (POS) and mobile POS (mPOS) EMV solutions

Grapevine, Texas, RetailNOW (Booth #124), August 1, 2016 - Creditcall, the omni-channel payment gateway and EMV migration specialist, today announced its eighth EMV certification with Elavon, a leading global payments provider, for the Globalcom BV1000 unattended chip card reader.

According to Boston Retail Partners and The Strawhecker Group between 22 and 37 percent of all U.S. retailers are able to process EMV chip card payments. However, the self-serving unattended sector including parking, transportation and vending still have a long way to go. By integrating the Globalcom BV100 chip card reader which is specifically designed for outdoor usage and extreme weather conditions, with Creditcall’s Payment Gateway and Elavon’s payment processing solutions, gives developers, independent software vendors (ISVs) and merchants within the self-service sector an off-the-shelf solution for simple and speedy EMV chip card payments acceptance.

Attended and unattended POS and mPOS developers can now choose from Creditcall’s ever growing list of leading EMV chip card readers and PIN pads. These are already pre-certified with Elavon and are ready for deployment in areas such as parking, vending, transportation, retail and restaurants.

In addition to Globacom's BV1000, the range of supported and pre-certified PIN pads and EMV chip card readers include, the Ingenico Group’s iPP 320/350 series, Miura System’s M007 & M010 and Verifone’s VX 820.

“Developers, ISVs and merchants on both sides of the Atlantic benefit from Elavon’s and Creditcall’s extensive EMV expertise and partnership, a result of ongoing joint activities in the U.S. and Europe which dramatically speeds up our customers’ EMV migration projects,” said Sian Bosley, VP of business development at Creditcall. “It is important to not only provide our customers with a large choice in PIN pads and EMV chip card readers but also to ensure cardholder data is protected at the highest level possible, thanks to point to point encryption and tokenization.”
