Continuous Data Protection: TimeSpring Continuous Data Protection Software Added To GSA Schedule In Partnership With IMS Systems

TimeSpring® Software Corporation and Integrated Mass Storage Systems (IMS Systems) announced an agreement under which IMS Systems will offer TimeSpring's TimeData® continuous data protection (CDP) software on the General Services Administration (GSA) schedule to U.S. Government organizations.

"Our government customers are focused on the Information Assurance and Continuity of Operations initiatives so data protection and recoverability are very important," said Ed Hartman, President and COO of IMS Systems. "TimeSpring's TimeData software stands alone in providing superior continuous data protection and reliable recovery while reducing cost and complexity for the government IT community."

TimeSpring's TimeData software represents a major improvement over data replication, snapshot and traditional backup systems for Windows applications. The software is easy to use, non-disruptive and affordable. It operates continuously, without operator intervention or scheduling. Transactions are protected and the integrity of the audit trail is maintained. The software also makes current and historical data available for offline processing.

By adding TimeData to its GSA schedule, IMS Systems makes it much easier for U.S. Government agencies to purchase the software than it is to procure on the open market. The price at which TimeData is sold under the GSA schedule is determined to be fair and reasonable, and allows all Government customers to benefit from most-favored customer prices. Administrative purchase time and overhead is reduced, as contracts have been awarded in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

"IMS Systems is recognized as one of the top Federal Government suppliers by the General Services Administration in the areas of software and service," said Janae Lee, CEO of TimeSpring. "TimeSpring is honored to partner with IMS Systems to deliver the very highest levels of data protection and recoverability to the U.S. Government."
