CompTIA Reveals Keynote Speaker For 2015 Annual Member Meeting

Viral, social and authentic marketing expert Scott Stratten will speak on “un-selling”

Strategies for building customer loyalty and generating repeat business will be the focus of the opening keynote session at the 2015 CompTIA Annual Member Meeting, the information technology (IT) industry association announced recently.

Best-selling author, marketing guru and social media influencer Scott Stratten will stress content, connection and engagement when he speaks on “UnSelling - The New Customer Experience.” His keynote speech at CompTIA’s Annual Member Meeting is set for March 25.

Registration is open for the meeting, scheduled for March 24-26, 2015 at the Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

Stratten, president of UnMarketing Inc., will offer his take on how any business can become a “go-to” company, replacing one-time buyers with loyal, repeat customers that refer others to you.

“IT companies often talk about becoming a ‘trusted advisor’ to their customers, but what it takes to attain that status is evolving,” noted Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education, CompTIA. “Scott Stratten’s ideas on how to ‘un-sell’ offer a new way of thinking about business that may completely change the way you market your company.”

CompTIA’s Annual Member Meeting brings together hundreds of top executives from all corners of the IT industry for collaborative strategic planning and networking. The “big tent” nature of the gathering provides a neutral forum where industry leaders discuss the hottest topics and biggest issues affecting the IT channel and develop actionable initiatives to help advance the industry.

Several CompTIA member communities will meet during the week, including the following groups: Advancing Women in IT, Future Leaders, IT Services and Support, Managed Services, IT Security, Mobility, Cloud and Managed Print.

Also, CompTIA members and guests will honor the latest inductees into the IT Hall of Fame, which recognizes the iconic figures, game-changers and visionaries who have built, grown and shaped the IT industry. More than 100 individuals, innovations and organizations are part of the IT Hall of Fame.
