Clearent Lands Payments Veteran

Payment Processor Makes Key Hire to Accelerate Marketing

Clearent, one of the fastest growing payment processing companies in the U.S., announced a key new hire by adding Ed Alba to lead its marketing team and elevate the Clearent brand to new levels.

Ed has over 20 years of marketing experience, working with some of the largest brands in the country and producing award-winning work for companies such as Coca-Cola, Newell Rubbermaid, The Home Depot, Subway, Kodak, Warner Brothers, and Anheuser-Busch.

Most recently, Ed led all marketing efforts for Priority Payment Systems, which helped the company become the 2013 ISO of the Year, as named by the Electronic Transactions Association. Ed was responsible for rebranding Priority and driving the company’s marketing strategy and support for its sales channels.

At Clearent, Ed will head up all marketing efforts and will be responsible for the strategy and activation of all brand efforts and lead generation programs that will help drive the revenue of Clearent’s sales channels, which include ISOs and agents, merchants, software developers and financial institutions.

“This is a great opportunity for me as I look forward to joining an already established and respected company in the payments industry. I strongly believe that Clearent is one of the bestkept secrets in the space and I am excited for 2014 and years to come,” remarked Alba.

“We are excited to have someone like Ed on board to lead our marketing efforts. We have experienced a tremendous growth trend over the last few years while we focused on delivering innovative products and first class service for our growing customer base. By bringing Ed on board, we will be able to expand our market presence and make more businesses aware of our truly unique payment processing offering,” said Jeff Zimmerman, Vice President Product Management & Marketing.
