Citizen Systems Certifies CLP-521 And CLP-7202e Barcode Printers For Use With Meditech Applications

Citizen Systems America Corporation (CSA), a supplier of world-class printing solutions, announces certification of its CLP-521 and CLP-7202e Barcode printers, created by Medical Information Technology, Inc., for use with their Meditech applications.

The CLP-521 provides wristband patient and medication barcode identification, allowing hospitals to achieve positive "Bedside Medication Verification," at point of care. With its small footprint, the CLP-521 can be placed anywhere, even areas with minimal counter space. The CLP-521 includes features usually only found on high performance machines such as all-metal construction for solid reliability and precision. The print head on the CLP-521 can be raised vertically for easy cleaning and servicing.

The CLP-7202e serves as a replacement printer for the now discontinued Prodigy and Allegro models. Substantially smaller and less expensive than the current I-Class replacement printers, the CLP 7202e features Citizen's unique print head mechanism, for ease of use when maintaining and reloading labels. The units utilize "plug and play" with the old Fargo code, native to Meditech.
