Canon U.S.A. Launches New imageWARE Secure Audit Manager Express Enabling Document Security And Auditing For Companies Of All Sizes
imageWARE Secure Audit Manager Express Allows Companies to Track and Audit All Print, Copy, Scan and Fax Activity to Deter Loss of Information
Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, recently introduced imageWARE Secure Audit Manager Express, a robust information security software solution that provides capture, archive and audit capabilities of activities performed on Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs along with other Canon MEAP-enabled devices such as print, scan, fax, copy and send jobs.
Since imageWARE Secure Audit Manager Express exports audit data directly to a Windows folder as opposed to using a centralized database to store job information, it fits into IT infrastructures of practically all sizes. The software stores job attribute information from printed or scanned documents, such as who sent it, when it was sent, and a copy of the actual document image. In the event that important information is lost, crucial data including user ID, time/date, send/receive and a searchable record of what was sent can be easily retrieved by searching archived data of all document processing activities. Using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to extract text from scanned and printed documents, imageWARE Secure Audit Manager makes finding documents simple.
Showing Canon's constant innovation and compatibility across solutions, imageWARE Secure Audit Manager Express integrates with uniFLOW, Canon-exclusive software that provides effective control over an organization's entire print output infrastructure. This combination of solutions allows the system to support a wider fleet of devices, including non-Canon branded MFPs and SFPs. Plugging in to the uniFLOW system allows administrators to set up email notifications when a predetermined keyword is printed, scanned, faxed, copied or sent. This capability helps mitigate, and identify the source of, crucial information leaks as they occur. Administrators can also use the uniFLOW system to search the full text of all documents that have passed through an organization's imaging devices in any form by storing processed jobs within a document management system such as Microsoft SharePoint.
"Canon constantly strives to improve document security for organizations of all sizes. Information is only as valuable as a company's ability to protect it," said Sam Yoshida, vice president, Marketing, Business Imaging Solutions, Canon U.S.A. "We are confident that imageWARE Secure Audit Manager Express will help information that passes through printing and scanning devices stay secure and will allow companies to quickly identify potential leaks like never before possible."
As imageWARE Secure Audit Manager is a highly scalable solution, customers of all sizes can benefit directly from its ability to deter information leaks. Given its flexibility in configuration, Canon's solutions company, Canon Information and Imaging Solutions, provides comprehensive services associated with the solution to Canon's channel partners and end customers.
