Business Solutions Magazine's Roddy Nominated For RSPA Board

Business Solutions magazine and Jameson Publishing President Jim Roddy has been nominated for a seat on the Board of Directors for the Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA).

"I'm really honored to be considered for an RSPA board position," Roddy said. "During our partnership, BSM and the RSPA have worked hand-in-hand towards the same goal of enhancing the retail channel. When the RSPA staff and members have needed help, we've been happy to assist wherever we could – joining committees, sponsoring education sessions, hosting webinars, providing editorial coverage, and more.

"Serving on the board would allow BSM to further advance the RSPA's goals, which we strongly believe benefit all dealers, vendors, and distributors working in the retail channel. I appreciate being asked to serve on the board and would be honored to do so."

Roddy is a past chairperson of the RSPA Marketing/Advocacy Committee and currently serves as that group's co-chairperson. For the past several years, he has been a member of both the Marketing/Advocacy Committee and RSPA's Vendor Working Group. He has hosted several RetailNOW seminars and webinars on the topics of hiring best practices, time management, and team building. At Inspire 2008, he moderated the roundtable discussion titled "What Dealers and Vendors Want From Each Other", and at this year's RetailNOW will moderate the Industry Leader Panel discussion.
