One of the most relevant and critical compliance certifications for government agencies looking to use cloud resources and digital strategies in light of the digital transformation is the U.S. Government’s Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).

BMC has announced they received the full authorization certification with FedRAMP for Remedy OnDemand for Public Sector. This is an essential element for government agencies as they look to increase efficiency, mobility and security in the digital age, all while reducing costs.

In April, Microsoft Azure, CSRA, and Amazon Web Services became the first three cloud services providers to achieve a high impact rating under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) as Business Solutions Magazine reported.

“As we see Federal cloud adoption among the agencies, they started out with not-as-sensitive data, public-facing websites, public-facing data,” Susie Adams, Microsoft Federal’s chief technology officer, told MeriTalk. Agencies are now looking to move sensitive data into cloud services, but because of its sensitive nature the data requires higher standards of protection from cloud service providers.

Remedy OnDemand offers SaaS-based IT service management solution that runs on Amazon Web Services cloud, and its FedRAMP certification is the next step to providing government agencies with compliant digital solutions that they are confident in using. “As public sector customers move to the cloud, they want confidence in a tested, secure solution that accelerates the deployment and support of mission-critical programs,” said Robin Purohit, group president, Enterprise Solutions Organization at BMC.
