BlueStar Expects To Exceed $1 Billion In 2013
Promoted as a “mobile conference,” distributor BlueStar Inc. hosted its annual VARTECH Conference Oct. 5-8 on the Carnival Imagination cruise ship traveling from Miami to Nassau, The Bahamas.
In this video from the opening event, BlueStar President/CEO Steve Cuntz talks about changes in the industry and at BlueStar. Among the changes are:
- BlueStar anticipates 2013 sales will surpass $1 billion. “We are projecting next year we will for the first time exceed a billion dollars in revenue. I might add that the only way we could have done that is by partnering with our value-added resellers,” Cuntz told the cheering crowd.
- Healthcare sales grew 50% and government 100% in 2012, while iOS sales are up 500%, according to the company.
- A security division was launched earlier this year.
- A new IT director upgraded BlueStar’s Oracle system. “The speed of our information will go up tenfold,” Cuntz said.
