BlueStar Canada Appoints Michel Sirois As New President

BlueStar, a leading global distributor of Digital Identification, Mobility, Point-of-Sale, RFID, Digital Signage, and Security technology solutions, is excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Michel Sirois as the new president of its Canadian Division, in replacement to retiring founder and long term president, Jacques Lapierre, effective April 1st, 2017.

Sirois joined the company in January of 2014 as vice president of sales for Canada. He comes with a wealth of sales leadership experience within the industry, having spent the previous six years at Motorola Solutions (now Zebra Technologies) and the prior 13 years at IMS, a valued partner. In both cases, Sirois' strategic approach and leadership skills played an instrumental role in the success of their companies. In addition, he has been instrumental in perpetuating the success of BlueStar Canada through uniquely successful business development and value add infrastructure.

Lapierre has agreed to remain on as an adviser to the company and assist in a smooth transition. "After 25 years at the helm of Intellico (which became BlueStar Canada in January 2002), there could not be a better scenario for this transition than to have an exceptional individual like Michel Sirois ready and able to step in," says Lapierre. "Aided by his experience and skills, he brings along a strong sense of ethics which is a requirement to be successful in distribution. Michel is also a long term friend and his success is dear to me."
