Arrow ECS Launches Multivendor Deal Registration Portal

Helping resellers register for special-pricing programs simultaneously with multiple suppliers and encouraging suppliers to collaborate on pricing programs is the aim of a new deal registration portal developed by Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business unit of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW].

The “SolutionRegistration” portal simplifies and speeds the process of qualifying for pricing discounts, higher sales margins and rebates by enabling resellers to register for multiple programs from various suppliers through an online, secure portal. Suppliers see deal registrations as they’re submitted, and resellers receive an e-mail generated by the portal once the supplier approves the deal, resulting in an automated and streamlined deal-registration process.

Launching July 6, the portal is initially being rolled out to resellers registering deals with, VMware, Fortinet, Lakeside Software, and McAfee, all represented by the Alternative Technology Group of Arrow ECS. Arrow ECS will be working with other suppliers of the Alternative Technology Group – as well as those represented by its North American HP, IBM, MOCA/Sun Microsystems and Storage Groups – to bring deal registrations for additional lines to the portal in the coming months.

The SolutionRegistration portal provides access rights to both suppliers and resellers, with separate dashboard views and reporting capabilities for each. With insight into the sales that are being registered through the site, suppliers can more easily identify opportunities to team with complementary lines in creating special margins and rebates for multivendor solutions.

“This resource enables Arrow ECS to serve as a pivotal aggregation point for multi-vendor deal registration,” said William Botti, president and CEOr of the Alternative Technology Group of Arrow ECS. “The Arrow ECS SolutionRegistration portal allows resellers to maximize their supplier margin and rebate opportunity by registering deals for multiple products at one time, and it gives suppliers more visibility into the reseller pipeline and more easily identify other vendors who they can team with on multivendor solutions.”

Through the portal, resellers can give both their sales representatives and management team access the site. Sales representatives can register and see their own deals while managers can see the status of deals by representative, supplier, deal size, sales stage, probability of close and submission deadlines. After their first visit to the site, SolutionRegistration automatically populates registration forms based on previously submitted information so resellers only need to complete the prospect and product information to register a new deal.

According to one ATG VAR who provided input to ATG’s portal design, “Before, we had different portals to go to for every vendor, with different log-ins for each one. Most of the required input is the same. It was so cumbersome we only register the larger deals that we really feel we need protection on, and the rest we kind of live with. We are looking forward to using SolutionRegistration.”
