AnyDoc Software And Image Integration Systems Partner To Provide Advanced Data Capture As Part Of The IIS DocuSphere Business Process Improvement Software Solution
AnyDoc Software®, Inc., the leading provider of automated document and data capture solutions, today announced a partnership with Image Integration Systems, Inc. (IIS), a leader in the development, implementation and support of comprehensive document management, workflow and imaging solutions in high-volume transaction processing ERP-based environments. The partnership will incorporate AnyDoc Software products into IIS business process improvement solutions, which will provide a complete end-to-end accounts payable (A/P) processing solution that reduces cycle time and cost per transaction.
IIS will integrate AnyDoc Software products, including OCR for AnyDoc®, as the critical front-end to its DocuSphere® business process improvement suite. As documents and forms are scanned, OCR for AnyDoc automatically captures and delivers data to IIS DocuSphere Workflow and DocuSphere Content Manager software, which manages documents and business processes in ERP-based environments such as J.D. Edwards/PeopleSoft (now Oracle) and SAP. DocuSphere has been certified for use with J.D. Edwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle and SAP ERP software. As customer need dictates, IIS will also integrate AnyDoc’s suite of solutions for industry-specific document types and AnyDoc®INVOICE™ (for accounts payable invoices), which has application in many industries.
The relationship between AnyDoc Software and IIS began with a joint implementation of a document capture and workflow solution. The two companies collaborated on a project with the European division of a billion-dollar manufacturer of industrial products. The customer required a standardized and enterprise-wide process where invoice documents from manufacturing and regional facilities are centrally received, then routed for management review and approval throughout the European organization prior to processing by the ERP system.
AnyDocINVOICE, AnyDoc Software’s solution for extracting data from invoices, was installed at the customer’s site and integrated with IIS DocuSphere Workflow, which is also integrated with a J.D. Edwards (now Oracle) ERP system. As a result of the joint implementation, the business process is now highly automated: crucial data are automatically extracted from vendor invoices, the data and documents are automatically routed to the proper remote approvers, and the completed data records are automatically submitted to the J.D. Edwards system for processing. With the added efficiency, the customer soon realized significant cost and time savings. The successful joint IIS/AnyDoc solution prompted the companies to form a partnership to create similar value for other customers. The solution is now in the planning and implementation phases for new customers in the U.S. and the U.K.
