And The Winner Is -- CompTIA PitchIT Contest Finalists Named

Winners selected this week at Breakaway 2010

Eight technology companies whose creativity and innovation extend to their cinematography skills have been selected as finalists in the CompTIA PitchIT video contest, the leading non-profit trade association for the information technology (IT) industry announced recently.

Winners of the CompTIA PitchIT contest will be announced this week at Breakaway 2010, the premier event for IT companies in North America. More than 1,000 industry leaders are attending the annual conference this week at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa.

"We asked companies to showcase the best new products and companies in the IT channel," said Kelly Ricker, vice president, events and conferences, CompTIA. "The videos received were creative, entertaining and, most importantly, demonstrated Innovative and unique strategies for selling IT. "

Companies were invited to submit three-minute videos in two categories: Coolest New Product (open to Breakaway sponsors) and Hottest Company (open to Breakaway attendees).

Finalists in the Coolest New Product category are:

  • Autotask
  • Cisco Systems, Inc.
  • ConnectWise
  • Datto, Inc.
  • Lenovo

Finalists in the Hot Company category are:

  • Clever Ducks
  • Heartland Technologies
  • ZSL

Winners will be determined by a final round of onsite voting at Breakaway 2010. Online voting has ended, but the videos can still be seen at http://pitchit.comptia.org/Home.aspx.

Breakaway offers technology companies a unique stage to promote their products, recruit business partners and interact with more than 1,000 attendees. Conference attendees participate in educational tracks covering key technology areas such as healthcare IT, cybersecurity, green IT and managed IT services.
