Airband Communications Signs Tri-Alliance As Master Agent, Further Expanding East Coast Sales Channel

Airband Communications, Inc., the industry's leading fixed-wireless company for businesses in the United States, recently announced that Tri-Alliance has joined Airband's National Indirect Channel Program as a master agent. The relationship strengthens Airband's ability to sell its WiMAX-based solutions to businesses on the East Coast, particularly in Tri-Alliance's home corridor of New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

Tri-Alliance is a partnership between three leading telecom management companies – AB&T, Crystal Technologies Group and Business Communications Management (BCM). AB&T, which initially signed with Airband as a master agent, was so impressed with Airband's proprietary fixed-wireless network that it quickly added the remaining Tri-Alliance members as Airband master agents.

"We initially selected Airband because they are the largest fixed-WiMAX provider for businesses, and we wanted an alternative to wireline last-mile access and high-bandwidth data services," said Emmet Tydings, CEO for AB&T. "Since joining as a master agent, we have been repeatedly impressed by the support, training and marketing programs that Airband provides."

"We had a client who needed a high-bandwidth Internet solution in an extremely short period of time and Airband was able to survey the building, verify bandwidth capabilities and assure delivery of service within four days of contract execution," said Greg DeCinque, co-founder and managing partner for Crystal Technologies Group. "Airband efficiently executed every step of the installation process, and now the service is operating flawlessly."

Launched in October 2007, Airband's National Indirect Channel Program has enjoyed rapid growth due to its simplified partnership agreement, efficient payout process and unique product offering. Airband offers a comprehensive portfolio of high-speed data, virtual private network (VPN) and other managed solutions through its indirect channel partners. In addition, Airband provides dedicated support to its agents through a team of field-based channel managers and sales engineers.

"Airband continues to rapidly expand its indirect sales channel by signing leading master agents such as Tri-Alliance, which extends Airband's overall market reach," said Zane Long, vice president of indirect channel sales for Airband. "Now more businesses, especially those on the East Coast, can benefit from our flexible and scaleable high-bandwidth solutions, which often can be installed in matter of days."

Airband owns and operates the industry's leading fixed-wireless network based on WiMAX technology, and focuses solely on businesses. With more than 3,500 customers nationwide, the company is currently growing to new markets, and expanding coverage in existing markets including Austin, Texas; Baltimore; Charlotte, N.C.; Dallas/Fort Worth; Greensboro, N.C.; Houston; Philadelphia; Phoenix; Raleigh/Durham, N.C.; San Antonio and Southern California.
