Agilysis Channel Program Announced

Agilysys chose RSPA RetailNOW 2015 to announce that its cloud and mobile hospitality solutions will be offered, for the first time, for resale through solutions providers.

Jeff Barrett, director of channel sales for Agilysys, told Business Solutions that RetailNOW was “ground zero” for the partner program launch. Resellers will begin training with Agilysys in Q4, after initial meetings and establishing partner relationships this month and next. He added that the company took advantage of the opportunity to talk to VARs at RetailNOW to listen to what they are looking for in a vendor partner. Barrett said Agilysys plans to co-train reseller partners along with its employees and to support partners with professional services or project management resources, as needed.

According to Barrett, Agilysys’ tier 1 point of sale (POS) solution differs from comparable solutions including NCR Aloha and Micros in several important ways. He says Agilysys’ SaaS solution was built in the cloud “with all of the same functionality of our on-premise products which gives us industrial-strength, proven solutions for the reseller market.” Another contrast is that Agilysys provides only software. “We consider hardware an appliance,” Barrett comments, but adds, “We don’t look at ourselves as a software company — we’re a guest experience company.”

Agilysys’ InfoGenesis POS software solution can be integrated with its rGuest Pay Gateway secure payment processing solution that includes validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE) and tokenization, as well as addressing specific verticals by adding:

  • rGuest Stay, property management system (This, says Barrett puts resellers in the lodging market.)
  • rGuest Seat, table management and reservation solution
  • rGuest Buy, ordering and self-serve kiosk solution
  • rGuest Analyze, reporting and analytics tool

Resellers can also provide Agilysys WMx workforce management, and Eatec foodservice inventory and procurement solutions.

Beyond this, Barrett wants resellers to know they can leverage Agilysys to create total solutions for their customers. “Resellers want to own the customer,” he comments. “Talk to us about what you need — we can help. Just ask us what we can’t do.”  Barrett also points out although Agilysys’ solutions have been deployed by large restaurant chains, hotels, resorts, and casinos, they are suited for use in businesses of any size.
