Affordable Solution To Reading Long, Truncated Bar Codes Unveiled

Many parts of the world are still faced with challenges of reading long and truncated bar codes. To lighten this task, iData Distribution, leading distributor of automated identification and mobile technologies for the reseller market in southern Africa, recently unveiled the Datalogic QuickScan Lite QW2100 linear imager.
"The QW2100 imager, the most recent addition to the value line general purpose handheld data collection products, was created specifically for reading long and truncated bar codes, which is very common in most areas of the world. It is ideal for use in retail, light manufacturing, document/bill processing and banking environments.
We are constantly looking for solutions to assist our customers in enhancing productivity at their working environments while saving time and costs," says Peter White, Executive head at iData Distribution.
The QW2100 imager's ergonomic design makes it comfortable to use during daily operations. It is also designed to offer snappy reading performance on most 1D bar codes, and features a wide scanning angle with an extended scanning line, perfect for capturing longer and wider bar codes found on utility bills and used by manufacturers of electronic parts.
Moreover, the QW2100 imager allows users to scan at wide angles without increased scanning distance, as its scanning line is thinner and brighter.
"This product is available with two interface options, USB or keyboard wedge. For the convenience of our customers, it can be ordered as a scanner only, or as a kit equipped with a scanner, cable and stand to facilitate hands-free read options," says White.
