Milestone Releases New XProtect Corporate Version

Milestone Systems now offers XProtect Corporate 2013 R2, the latest version of its IP video management software (VMS). With support for an unlimited number of cameras, users, and sites, XProtect Corporate offers a centralized, single-management interface for surveillance administration, including all connected devices. The new version expands the list of products that can be interconnected with XProtect Corporate, including XProtect Expert, Milestone Arcus embedded solutions, and Milestone Husky appliances. XProtect Corporate 2013 R2 is bundled with a new release of XProtect Smart Wall and packaged with new versions of three user interfaces: XProtect Smart Client 2013 R2, XProtect Web Client 2013 R2, and Milestone Mobile 2013 R2. Axis Introduces High Frame-Rate Network Cameras

Axis Communications has added AXIS Q1614 and AXIS Q1614-E fixed IP network cameras, designed for identification of people and objects in high movement scenes and demanding lighting conditions. The cameras include HDTV 720p video at up to 60 frames per second, wide dynamic range (WDR) capture, and Axis Lightfinder technology to enhance color detail at night. These are the first Axis cameras with high-sensitivity shock detection, which sends an alarm on impact. Both indoor and outdoor versions of the cameras are supported by AXIS Camera Station as well as a base of video management software through Axis’ Application Development Partner Program.
