In-House CD Duplication System Allows Publishing House To Reduce Turnaround Time For Customer CDs From Weeks To Days
For many of Dade Behring's customers, next-day delivery is not good enough. The $1.3 billion laboratory instrument manufacturer often has to ensure same-day delivery. Integrating technologies with its new SAP system helps Dade Behring deliver the goods on time.
Web Works Publishing is a CD duplication house based in Boise, ID. Web Works Publishing targets companies that currently use CD replication, but are looking for better customer service and faster turnaround time. The firm also looks for those companies that have a desire to promote their products through the use of CD-ROM/CD-R technology.
Web Works Publishing had two major issues with using an outside replication facility for its customers. One was time and other was flexibility. Clients were in need of large quantities of CDs within a one- to two-day turnaround, not the one to two weeks it was taking Web Works' replication firm. Customers also wanted the ability to revise CDs whenever necessary and not have obsolete information on hand.
Publishing Company Brings CD Duplication In-House
After trying several CD duplicators that did not meet performance standards, Web Works Publishing selected a CD duplication system from CD Cyclone Duplications Systems. The three most important features the company was looking for in a duplicator were quality drives, flexible software and hot-swappable hardware. The CD CyClone T-30 fit the criteria and exceeded expectations, according to Web Works Publishing's owner, Joshua Evarts.
55,000 Discs Duplicated Without The Loss Of One Disc
Within the first 24 hours of using the CD CyClone unit, Web Works Publishing ran a total of 14,000 CDs through it without one CD failure. Through the use of a large-scale CD duplication unit, Web Works Publishing now provides customers with just-in-time inventories, while maintaining quality and service. With the CD CyClone unit, Web Works Publishing is currently running anywhere from 5,000 to 10,000 CDs a day through its facility. The turnaround time for all clients has become 24 to 36 hours from receipt of customers' master CDs. To date, Web Works Publishing has run over 55,000 CDs through its in-house duplicator without the loss of one drive or experiencing a bad disc.
