64-Bit Support For ImagXpress v10 ActiveX SDK Released By Accusoft Pegasus
Accusoft Pegasus, the leading provider of imaging software development kits (SDKs), recently announces the release of ImagXpress Version 10 for 64-bit ActiveX support. Software developers will use the ImagXpress v10 SDK to build applications targeting both 32 and 64-bit Windows architectures. Simultaneously, Accusoft Pegasus releases ISIS Xpress v4 ActiveX, providing support for the latest scanner drivers.
"Our ActiveX customers are generally building performance-sensitive applications. Offering 64-bit versions of our ImagXpress ActiveX components just makes sense," says Susan Gorman, program manager at Accusoft Pegasus. "With this release, our customers have the ability to leverage 64-bit architectures using ActiveX and .NET components to deliver faster, more powerful application software."
ImagXpress offers extensive features for image scanning, compression, viewing, annotating, cleanup, and printing. All are now offered for both 32-bit and 64-bit ActiveX and .NET environments. In addition to 64-bit support, the new ImagXpress v10 offers the following new features: support for the TWAIN 2.0 scanning specification (which includes 64-bit support), a new automatic binarization function, and support for additional Camera RAW formats.
ImagXpress v10 Professional unlocks all features within the ImagXpress product. Document image cleanup, annotation support, and support for advanced file formats, are only featured in the Professional edition, and are not offered as features within the Standard edition.
The .NET components within ImagXpress v10 (offered as a separate download and purchase) remain available as AnyCPU. ImagXpress v10 .NET is optimized for use in Visual Studio 2005 and 2008, and is fully compliant for use in .NET Framework 2.0 and higher.
