John Tippett is the VP of new markets at SnapAV, a dealer-centric manufacturer and exclusive source for hundreds of products for both residential and commercial audio/video and technology solutions. Prior to joining SnapAV, Tippett founded an IT services company and an audio video company which he grew to their acquisition by a regional IT services firm in 2011. He served as the COO of that firm for more than two years before he joined SnapAV. Tippett’s role as the VP of new markets is to lead the efforts to expand the manufacturer's innovative, reseller-centric business model to the IT industry. A graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in management, his expertise is equal parts technical and operational. Tippett’s current role as chair of CompTIA's Managed Services Community follows more than five years of active participation with the association including an instrumental role in the establishment of the Managed Services Trustmark.
