The Top 5 Traits To Look For In A Sales Rep For Your IT Solutions Provider

Love ‘em or hate ‘em. Sales reps run the gamut between all-star and dead weight. What should you look for before you pull the trigger and hire one?1

  • Grit. I can’t stress this enough. You need sales reps who are scrappy. There’s no crying in sales. There’s no room for getting dejected and taking rejection personally. Look for a rep who doesn’t let sales obstacles slow them down and can pick themselves by the bootstraps and forge ahead.
  • Entrepreneurial. Look for reps who care about more than their current deals. Truly great reps look beyond at the entire organization and constantly push for improvements that will benefit their clients. They constantly ask questions of the leadership team and prod everyone to do their best.
