Michael Alvaro Brings Industry Experience to Star

Star Micronics America, a leading worldwide manufacturer of point of service printers, announces the appointment of Michael Alvaro to the position of POS sales manager. At Star, Alvaro will leverage his 25 plus years of industry experience to cultivate and maintain key POS solution accounts nationwide for the retail and hospitality industries.

"Mike's previous experience with all levels of the channel, from the manufacturer standpoint all the way through to the end-user, will bring added knowledge and vision to the team that our channel partners can rely on."

Prior to joining Star, Alvaro was the Channel Sales Manager at Transact Technologies Inc. for 10 years. He also has experience as a Value Added Reseller working as a Regional Manager for more than 12 years and an ISV working as a Vice President for three years.

Alvaro holds a BS in Business Administration from the State University of New York and will be based out of Star's Schaumburg, IL office.
