RSPA Seeks Leaders To Grow And Guide The Association

The Retail Solutions Providers Association’s (RSPA) announced recently that it has expanded the number of seats on its Board of Directors, and in anticipation of its upcoming elections this summer, is seeking nominations of Board of Directors candidates.

As part of its standard board term rotation, RSPA will have 4 open Board of Director seats available for election this August (1 vendor and 3 reseller seats). Additionally, in an effort to further support and engage the industry as a whole, RSPA is adding three more seats (2 vendor and 1 new reseller seats) for a grand total of 7 open board seats.

The RSPA believes that the expansion of the Board of Directors and the number of available seats creates an incredible opportunity to bring new voices to RSPA's leadership. After the announcement last week of new CEO, Kelly Funk, the change in the Board composition marks a critical time for the Association, as it adjusts to be best suited to navigate the dynamic nature of the retail technology industry. The organization is confident that those who take on a Board position at this time will strengthen its ability to continue to look at the Industry’s future with a new perspective.

Candidate nominations will not be accepted beyond that date.

Information on the Board of Directors Nominees will be published in the July 2014 edition of the RSPA’s connect magazine and will be posted on the www.GoRSPA.org website for the reference of members. Elections will take place during RSPA’s Annual Membership Meeting, to be held on August 3, 2014, during the Association’s annual RetailNOW Event. Results of the elections will be presented before the end of the Annual Membership Meeting.

RSPA will release more detail regarding the 2014-2015 Board of Directors elections after the nomination period closes in April.
