Panasonic, a leading provider of business telephone systems[i], announced recently the KX-UTG200B and KX-UTG300B (Session Initiated Protocol) SIP phones, the latest additions to its lineup of advanced UTG Series SIP-based telephones. Designed to enhance communications and lower operating expenses, the new SIP endpoints provide businesses an affordable and user-friendly SIP telephony solution with plug and play simplicity and flexible configuration options.

Panasonic’s new KX-UTG200B and KX-UTG300B SIP phones are fully interoperable with leading hosted and open-sourced based IP PBX platforms providing a range of enterprise-class functionality to business customers such as: call forwarding, intercom, voicemail to email, fax to email, dial by name directory, multiple extensions, one touch conferencing, and many more unified communications tools.

The new SIP phones can be configured and set-up to run services on an internal hardware platform or support business-class services delivered by a hosted service provider requiring no platform hardware investment. In either scenario, the KX-UTG200B and KX-UTG300B offers “grow-as-you-grow” scalability and delivers the critical features, functionality and value to meet the needs and budgets of virtually any business. As a standalone phone, each model allows up to 24 extensions to be monitored. By adding a KX-UTA336 expansion module to the KX-UTG300B, an additional 36 extensions can be monitored with a status update (limit two expansion modules per phone) allowing a user to see a possible total of 96 extensions per phone.
