New Document Viewing & Conversion Windows SDK Releases From Snowbound Software
Color Detection & Enhanced Microsoft .NET 4.0 WPF controls and XPS document Support
Snowbound Software, the market leader in document viewing and conversion solutions, is pleased to announce an important update of its version 18 flagship RasterMaster software development toolkit (SDK) for the Windows (.NET, DLL and ActiveX) platform. New features include color-page detection for smaller output files, great improvements in MS Office, AFP, MO:DCA, PDF and RTF format support, and significant support upgrades for Microsoft .NET 4.0 WPF controls and XPS documents – all leading to improved document viewing, conversion and processing for Snowbound customers.
The innovative color detection functionality in RasterMaster version 18 enables dramatic file size reduction in multi-page documents that are mainly text-based but contain some color or gray-scale images – speeding processing and file transfer, decreasing storage space and enhancing collaboration and sharing.
RasterMaster .NET SDK now includes improved support for building .NET Framework 4.0 x64 and x32 applications. This release includes a .NET Framework 4.0 build of the RasterMaster library with new methods and samples that make it easy to add sophisticated document and image processing features to your .NET 4.0 Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) controls. RasterMaster .NET also provides support to easily process XML Paper Specification (XPS) documents.
Snowbound’s RasterMaster SDK is used to develop the firm’s VirtualViewer line of viewing and conversion applications, firmly establishing the company’s technology as a proven solution. And RasterMaster SDK makes it easy for organizations to quickly implement document viewing and conversion features and functions into their enterprise’s ECM or BPM systems.
