Motorola Solutions, the leading provider of rugged mobile communications solutions ideally suited for workers in challenging manufacturing environments, recently introduced additions to the MOTOTRBO™ digital radio portfolio to further address the communications device needs for manufacturing workers.

The XPR 7000 series professional tier radios (http://www.motorolasolutions.com/web/Business/Products/Two-way%20Radios/Portable%20Radios/Wide%20Area%20Large%20Business%20Portable%20Radios/XPR7550/_documents/_staticfiles/MOTOTRBO_XPR7000_Series_SpecSheet.pdf)  are built to withstand even the toughest environments. Building upon the highly successful XPR 6000 Series portable line, the XPR 7000 offers additional enhancements such as a five-line color display that enables easy reading of menus and text messages. It also has an innovative day/night-mode feature that changes the screen and illuminates icons for enhanced clarity in the darkest and brightest environments.

The XPR 7000 series radio features Intelligent Audio, an exclusive feature which automatically adjusts the radio’s volume so users in a manufacturing plant will not miss calls in high-noise environments and will not disturb others when they move into a quiet office environment.

Enhanced features such as voice announcement for audible confirmation of channel and zone changes, as well as one-touch access buttons provide quick access to favorite features.

Integrated Bluetooth® audio allows users to connect headsets and earpieces wirelessly.  Motorola offers exclusive Operations Critical Wireless earpieces specifically designed for two-way radio users, allowing employees more mobility and to converse discreetly.  The radio also supports Bluetooth data connectivity to wirelessly transfer data between the radio and other devices such as bar code scanners, mobile computers and mobile printers.

Along with Bluetooth accessories, the XPR 7000 also has a robust portfolio of exclusive IMPRES™ smart audio accessories, batteries and chargers, plus remote speaker microphones and carry accessories.

With large rugged push-to-talk (PTT) and radio navigation buttons enable workers to effectively communicate even when wearing gloves. Additionally, Integrated GPS enables organizations to easily locate mobile workers for increased safety and workforce management.

The XPR 7000 series supports the industry’s largest portfolio of data applications including work order ticket management, e-mail, emergency man-down alarms, dispatch and telephony to further enhance user safety, efficiency, and workflow for enterprise-critical users.
