There has been a lot of buzz about the role Ted Roller will play at Intronis as its new VP of channel development, and that was among the topics we chatted about when I sat down at CompTIA Breakaway with Ted and his new boss, Sam Gutmann, CEO of Intronis, an online backup and recovery company. Ted joined Intronis from itControl Solutions, where he was the VP of channel development only two weeks ago.

But first we talked about the message Sam will deliver on Tuesday morning during his keynote. Namely, we discussed how the vendor will be announcing its new disaster recovery plan offering, geared to help small MSPs support their customers with a more thorough backup and disaster recovery plan with less work.

That effort plays into Intronis rededicated effort in the channel, which leads us to Ted. It will be part of Ted's task to create the kind of face-to-face open community for Intronis as he did while at itControl Suite, taking his outgoing personality and own experience as a business owner to fuel more personal relationships and then really digging in with the Intronis channel to find out what they need and how Intronis can move forward with their partners through what can only be considered a quickly changing backup and DR landscape heavily influenced by cloud computing.

Listen as Sam and Ted share their vision.
