''Cycle Faster'' Program At AIIM 2006 To Benefit The Lance Armstrong Foundation

Datacap today announced that the AIIM Expo 2006 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (May 15-19) will host a series of events to support cancer research. The "Cycle Faster" program, sponsored by Datacap, AIIM, and 20 industry partners, includes a "Cycle Faster for Cancer Research Bikeathon/Walkathon" on Monday, May 15, and a virtual bike race during the AIIM Expo. Pledges also are accepted online at http://cyclefaster.datacap.com. One hundred percent of donations will go directly to the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF), which is dedicated to inspiring and empowering people affected by cancer.

"Cycle time" is a term of art in the ECM industry, referring to the time it takes to process an incoming document. Datacap's "Cycle Faster" program brings together the major imaging, capture and ECM vendors to benefit the Foundation, which was founded by seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong.

Cycle Faster Sponsors
Industry sponsors joining Datacap and AIIM include Bowe Bell + Howell, Stellent, Fujitsu, FileNet, Kodak, Panasonic, ABBYY, Canon, Captaris, DocuWare, EMC Captiva, Hyland OnBase, Kofax, Oce, Parascript, Snowbound, and Soluziona. "The breadth of support we have seen from our partners shows the generous spirit of our industry," said Scott Blau, Datacap CEO. "Just as an ECM solution often requires vendors to work cooperatively to help our joint customers meet their document processing challenges, at AIIM this year we are working together to raise funds and awareness for an excellent cause."

"Cycle Faster for Cancer Research Bikeathon/Walkathon"
On Monday, May 15, from 5 PM to sundown, there will be a benefit ride/walk through Philadelphia's famous Fairmount Park, starting at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The course winds through historic areas in the spacious park, which was built around Philadelphia's reservoir system, and passes through picturesque "Boathouse Row" along the Schuylkill River.

Pledge or Participate
To participate in the "Cycle Faster for Cancer Research Bikeathon/Walkathon," visit http://cyclefaster.datacap.com. The fee to register is $25, all of which is tax deductible and will be donated in full to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. All participants will receive a free "Cycle Faster" T-shirt. Those who raise $250 or more also will receive a stylish "Cycle Faster" cycle racing jersey.

Cycle Faster Time Trials at AIIM Expo 2006
The fundraising fun continues during the AIIM Expo, which opens Tuesday morning, May 16, inside the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Datacap's booth (#212) will host an intense one-mile ride on a racing cycle attached to a computerized trainer. The virtual course will be broadcast on video for spectators to cheer on their favorite riders, includes several grueling inclines that will leave riders gasping for breath.

Providing advice and assistance in the Datacap booth throughout the AIIM Expo will be members of Philadelphia's Tri-State Velo racing team, which competes in cycling races and events throughout North America. For a minimum $25 donation to the LAF, AIIM attendees also can try their luck on the virtual course. AIIM attendees who visit the Datacap booth as well as those who pledge a rider in the bikeathon/walkathon will be entered into a drawing to win a brand new $2,000 road bicycle.

Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the AIIM Expo on Thursday, May 18. Proceeds from the "Cycle Faster" program will be donated in the name of each winner's company. Additional support and equipment is being provided by Philadelphia's premiere cycling center, Bicycle Therapy (www.bicycletherapy.com).
