Agreements with Malwarebytes and RapidFire Tools provide Industry-Leading Anti-Malware and Network Assessment Software as further additions to Continuum Partners

WOBURN, MA – June 11, 2012 – Continuum, a leading provider of remote monitoring and management (RMM) and business continuity solutions, announced today the addition of anti-malware software powered by Malwarebytes and a new network assessment tool, Continuum Network Detective, powered by RapidFire Tools, to Continuum’s RMM platform. These new product enhancements offer Continuum partners a quick and seamless way to offer their customers anti-malware protection from a widely recognized industry leader and also efficiently perform full network assessments for their existing and prospective customers, which are a proven method for MSPs to generate new business. By integrating both new tools into Continuum’s RMM platform, MSP partners can draw on a unified array of best-in-class managed services to help them grow their business and deliver more value-added capabilities to their customer base.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software provides an essential layer of protection that works alongside antivirus programs and is renowned in the industry for its unparalleled ability to detect the behaviors of today's malware and effectively stop it at its source. Malware, also known as malicious software, is one of the fastest-growing and most disruptive threats on the Internet today. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware uses advanced heuristic and behavioral scanning to monitor every process in order to detect, destroy, and prevent malicious processes before they start injecting viruses, spyware, trojans, keyloggers, password stealers, dialers and more. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is available as part of Continuum’s RMM platform and free of charge to Continuum partners.

“Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software does the best job of any product in the market at efficiently removing malware and determining the difference between false positives and dangerous apps,” said Continuum partner Dan McCoy, president of Micro Enterprises, LLC. “It is the preferred choice for anti-malware protection by the MSP community.”

Network assessments function as a “health check” and can often uncover security risks, as well problem areas based on an extensive compilation of network activity and configuration data. Typically a thorough assessment involves time-consuming data collection, analysis and report generation. Network Detective automates this process and produces branded reports that are more accurate than any manual process and are completed in less than thirty minutes, which in turn help MSPs close new business. Network assessments can be run with no agents or installs, which enables MSPs to use this non-invasive tool with both prospective and current customers.

“Network Detective is a superior network assessment tool that helps us win new business very efficiently,” said Bruce Campbell, vice president of marketing, Clare Computer Solutions, a California-based MSP and one of Continuum’s more than 3,300 partners. “It’s a fast, cost-effective way for us to produce comprehensive reports that alert customers to potential problems with their IT infrastructure before any work begins and helps to establish us as the trusted advisor with these new customers,” added Campbell. “Having seamless access to top-notch tools from Continuum simplifies our ability to add new accounts and deliver enhanced services to our customers.”

At the beginning of the year, Continuum unveiled a series of 2012 product initiatives designed to expand and enhance end-to-end RMM functionality while delivering a comprehensive range of best-in-class offerings that MSPs need to succeed in an increasingly complex IT services environment. The company has consistently delivered against its 2012 product roadmap with a number of enhancements to date including:

  • Expanded endpoint coverage – Continuum’s new Mac agent that allows partners to sell Mac support services and opens the door to new revenue opportunities
  • Broader virtualization support – VMware and Hyper-V Host monitoring
  • Third-party application patching – automatic updates for third-party products such as Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air, Adobe Shockwave; Java Runtime Environments; SDKs, and more
  • Enhanced SNMP monitoring – advanced monitoring including support for custom MIBs that allows other devices to be monitored in addition to Continuum’s pre-defined OIDs

“RapidFire Tools Network Detective and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware are just the latest examples of how we not only listen to partners’ needs but also exercise high standards of due diligence in delivering capabilities that are second to none in terms of product functionality and bottom-line benefits,” said Dee Zepf, vice president of product management and technical services at Continuum. “We established an aggressive product roadmap at the beginning of the year that is driven by partner input and we are on track to hit our product development targets going into the second half of 2012.”
